From Kirsten's design to the production of the cushions and ottomans by the furniture makers and upholsterers, everything receives the same level of attention. Our craftspeople dedicate themselves to creating luxurious and durable decorative cushions and ottomans. Take a look inside the workshop and discover how we work for you.

This is how we make the luxurious decorative cushions

Phase 1

Design decorative cushions by Kirsten®

Just like Kirsten® 's interiors, each cushion is refined and meticulously crafted. Kirsten selects unique fabrics from leading fabric houses. These fabrics are of excellent quality, ensuring your cushion stays beautiful for years to come and you can enjoy them for years to come. Kirsten determines the perfect finish for each fabric. Will it be luxurious piping or playful fringe? Then, the design goes to the sewing studio.

Phase 2

Preparing fabric for decorative cushions

In the sewing workshop, they cut the fabric to size. They pay close attention to the patterns on the fabric, ensuring they are aligned as symmetrically as possible. They also cut in such a way that the fabric doesn't pull. The zipper and thread in the correct color are selected, and the piping or fringe is trimmed to size.

Phase 3

Sewing the luxurious decorative cushions

Then our craftsmen get to work, placing the fabric under the sewing machine. Each stitch is carefully placed. Slowly, the cushion cover takes shape. The finishing touches and zippers are added. Time to fill the cushions.

Phase 4

Fill decorative cushions with sustainable inner cushions

The filling largely determines the look and feel of a decorative pillow, as well as its comfort. For Kirsten® pillows, we use only high-quality filling materials that feel soft and luxurious. It's a sustainable filling made from recycled down and feathers. 100% natural and biodegradable.

Phase 5

Only high-quality decorative cushions

The final step before the cushion leaves the studio is our quality control. We pay close attention to every detail, from the symmetry of the fabric seams to the filling and finishing. Only cushions that meet our high standards for craftsmanship and durability are allowed to grace your sofa, armchair, or bed.

Phase 1

Design your pouf together with Kirsten

This luxurious ottoman is a Kirsten® design. The shape, height, and materials have been carefully considered to ensure the ottoman has a timeless beauty, is of high quality, and is comfortable to sit on. Kirsten selects unique fabrics from leading fabric houses for her collection. Fabrics that are durable and suitable for intensive use, ensuring you enjoy your ottoman for years to come.

Phase 2

Made-to-order pouf with your fabric

Have you chosen your favorite fabric from our collection? Then we'll tailor-make the ottoman especially for you. We call this made-to-order. Did you know you can receive a fabric sample at home before placing an order? Use our sample service to view the fabric at home and decide which one suits your interior.

Phase 3

Recycled wood frame for sustainable pouf

The furniture maker meticulously crafts the ottoman's wooden frame. We use recycled plywood for this, which is sturdy and durable. The piece is designed with a recessed baseboard, so the ottoman sits off the ground and remains stable against low-pile rugs and carpets. With skill and patience, the furniture maker assembles the wooden elements into a ottoman.

Phase 4

Upholsterer goes to work

Meanwhile, the fabric you've chosen has been cut to size in the sewing workshop. The upholsterer takes his place at the sewing machine and sews the pieces together. Using special techniques and materials, the fabric is applied to the ottoman.

Phase 5

High-quality ottoman

Finally, we inspect the ottoman's quality. We pay attention to the stability of the ottoman and its upholstery. The upholstery should provide a soft and comfortable seating experience, while the craftsmanship ensures the fabric remains beautiful for years and can withstand daily use. After this final quality check, the ottoman is on its way to you.
